Tea Producing Regions

Situated in the Indian Ocean, Sri Lanka is an island of remarkable natural beauty. Mountain regions rise into the mist, waterfalls cascade through steep ravines, and miles of swirling tea estates stretch as far as the eye can see.

Tea is cultivated in a number of regions, each with a distinct leaf and brew. Ahmad Tea buys teas from Galle, which yields a golden liquor, scented aroma, and gentle taste; from Nuwara Eliya, whose bright and delicate tea is considered by many to be the finest in Ceylon; from Dimbula, which produces a tea that exhibits body, strength and a characterful aroma; and Uva, whose teas renowned for their distinctive mellow flavour, fine taste and beautiful aroma.

Ceylon teas are used in our English Breakfast, English Afternoon, English Tea No.1 and Primetime blends.
