Black Tea

INGREDIENTS

1-2 fillets of white fish
Turmeric
Chilli powder
1-2 eggs
Curry powder
60g red lentils
½ onion, chopped
50ml coconut milk
75g chana dal (soaked 2-3hrs)
Garlic
Chilli flakes
Coconut sambol
Pol roti

METHOD

Spiced Pan-Fried Fish Method:
1. Season fish with ¼ tsp turmeric, ½ tsp chilli powder, salt, and pepper
2. Heat oil in a pan
3. Fry 3-4 mins each side until cooked through

Curry Fried Eggs Method:
1. Head oil with curry powder and chilli
2. Add eggs and fry to your liking
3. Season with salt

Dhal Curry Method:
1. Simmer lentils with 200ml water, ¼ chopped onion, and ½ tsp turmeric for 12-15 mins
2. Add coconut milk
3. Cook until creamy
4. Season to taste

Dal Vada Method:
1. Drain and roughly blend dal
2. Mix with ¼ chopped onion, ½ minced garlic clove, pinch of chilli flakes, and salt
3. Shape into small patties
4. Fry until golden and crisp
