The range behind the mission
By choosing our Ice Tea range, you are helping Ahmad Tea support WWF‑Malaysia as they protect and restore them — capturing carbon through mangrove conservation.
01 — The forest
Mangroves are forests of salt‑tolerant trees adapted to life along tropical coastlines. Their dense roots create sheltered habitats for fish and other marine life.
02 — The climate
Carbon dioxide in the atmosphere traps heat and is a major driver of climate change, affecting weather, nature and communities around the world. Mangroves absorb it as they grow and store it in their trees, roots and soils, helping reduce the amount left in the atmosphere.
03 — The community
WWF‑Malaysia is working with local communities to restore and care for mangroves in the Rajang‑Belawai‑Paloh delta in Sarawak. This landscape provides important habitat for wildlife, including the endangered Irrawaddy dolphin, and supports local fisheries.
Project latest
Community groups begin replanting areas where mangroves were previously lost or damaged by harvesting and machinery.
Researchers collect data from the trees and soil to understand how much carbon the mangroves store.
Community groups reach a total of 48,648 seedlings planted across the wider project.
A community‑led conservation plan is finalised, while monitoring shows most planted seedlings have grown to more than one metre.
