Our quality control teams are constantly striving to ensure the consumer gets the perfect cup of tea, every time. Our talent is recruited from best in class manufacturers from highly regulated industries to ensure the Ahmad Tea food safety standard is amongst the highest in the food manufacturing industry.
Our tea tasters are highly regarded for their skill and dedication to providing the best tea experience in every cup. To meet our quality control standards - and our tea tasters’ high expectations - tea is drawn and tested hourly from its arrival at the factory to when it is packaged.
Ahmad Tea are industry leaders in health and safety, food hygiene, and environmental sustainability. We drive best practice at our facilities, and support our suppliers and partners to do the same. Solar panels, CO2 reduction methods and advanced materials used to build our facilities creates minimal impact on the environment.
Our flagship site in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates, is Ahmad Tea’s global production facility, and our pinnacle of best in class production principles and practices. Opened in 2012, the facility supplies bulk blended teas to other Ahmad Tea factories around the world and annual production exceeds 14 million kg of tea. Bulk packing production is fully automated, and with high speed dispatch we are able to produce a peak output of 180 containers per month, which is a blending capacity of 100,000kg. There is on-site accommodation for over 250 people to support our valued workforce.
Our corporate responsibility is focused on creating a sustainable future for generations to come:
– Our factory lighting & air conditioning units arecontrolled by the BMS system, which reduces our Carbon foot print by 13,000 kg/year.
– The variable frequency drive compressor in the facility contributes on average of 25% energy savings.
– Our accommodation ACs are controlled by the AC Monitoring System and fitted with Airco Saver which saves on average 10% energy.

Our global headquarters have been based in Hampshire in the UK since 1989. Our current site opened in 2010 and now distributes tea products for the UK tourist market, which helped us become one of the country’s leading players in this category. Our HQ also houses our Tea Tasting Room which is crucial to the global operation. It is from here that our Tea Department, led by William Manning, oversees selection, blending and quality control for all of Ahmad Tea’s blends around the world and leads the way in new product development.

Ahmad Tea’s Ukraine Tea Factory was established on 16th November, 1999, and became the first and only British enterprise specialising in tea in Ukraine. The factory began by packing just four different items, two loose leaf blends and two teabag blends. Today the facility packs 21 different tea blends that are used to produce 52 different products, helping Ahmad Tea maintain its position as one of the biggest selling brands on the Ukrainian market. Our blends are painstakingly crafted in UAE then carefully shipped to the Ukraine Factory, where they produce around 17 million kg of finished product per year. Opened in 2008, our China facility in Nanchang is the Ahmad Tea epicentre for sourcing and packing the finest green tea. We are proud to produce more than 2.5 million kg of tea per year from this site and it is from here we can ensure the highest quality and freshness of all our green tea blends. The site occupies over 10,000 square metres and also fulfills distribution for the local Chinese market, where Ahmad Tea is a growing brand.

Our team in Colombo acts as a link between our UK headquarters and the various tea supply and packing operations in Sri Lanka, one of the most revered tea producing nations. This mountainous island off India is where our supply operation started many years ago and the 30-strong team who work there still play a vital in our global enterprise. The office’s Tea Department tastes around 12,000 samples each week to ensure we buy the very best from the famous Colombo tea auction, while also performing crucial quality control checks. The team oversees production from the packing factories on the island which ship around 7 million kg of Ahmad Tea per year.
