Ahmad Tea China launches new state-of-the-art factory in Jiangxi Province

We’re delighted to announce that Ahmad Tea China, our business partner within the territory, has opened a new factory in Nanchang city, located in Jiangxi Province, South China. The new 33,000 m² factory is the epi-centre for sourcing and packing the finest green tea for China and our markets around the world. The new factory has been constructed in response to growing demand for our high-quality teas. The factory, which has been accredited by the Rainforest Alliance for its sustainability credentials, is nearly the same size as five football pitches and has the capacity to process more than 5,000 tonnes of tea and to store 3,600 tonnes of tea.

The latest cutting-edge technology has been installed within the factory to ensure that the production process is as efficient as possible. An infrared colour sorter machine is used on the production line to assess the tea as it is processed, guaranteeing that only the highest quality leaves are used to create a consistently high-quality product.

The warehouse has been designed to maintain a consistent temperature, ensuring the freshness of the tea. Within the factory, there is also a digital production workshop to create high-quality marketing images and a research and development laboratory.

Part of the factory is open to customers, who will be invited to take part in events at a specially created tea bar. Tea enthusiasts will have the opportunity to learn about the production and blending process, and our tea blenders will share their extensive knowledge about tea. Regular events will be held to launch new products, allowing consumers to sample the entire range, including seasonal products. In the future, the factory plans to create a cultural hub centred around tea.

The new factory is open now, and the tea bar will begin hosting events this Autumn.
