Nadia Rodriguez is one Ahmad Tea’s Key Account Managers and has recently appeared on our LinkedIn feed celebrating Ahmad Tea’s anniversaries in the Czech Republic and Egypt as well as fundraising for Ahmad Tea’s charity of the year, the Alzheimer’s Society. We caught up with her over her favourite cup of tea, a Jasmine Green tea, to find out more about life at Ahmad Tea.

What’s your role at Ahmad Tea?

I manage our distributors in Egypt, Poland and the Czech Republic. In each market, we only work with one distributor and my role is to help identify any challenges and opportunities and to work with them collaboratively to help them grow. The biggest challenge for me is that every market is different and so a solution for one country may not work for another country. Given the current economic climate we have to be as innovative as possible to help our markets grow.

Tell us about what opportunities you are working on in your markets?

I’ve been very fortunate as I’ve joined in the year that many of the markets, I manage are celebrating milestone anniversaries. This presents a huge opportunity for launching brand awareness campaigns and it has been great fun to be part of the celebrations. I’ve just returned from a 30-year celebration of Ahmad Tea in the Czech Republic where we celebrated their anniversary and their long collaboration with Ahmad Tea. Earlier this year, I attended an event at the pyramids to mark the 30th anniversary of Ahmad Tea in Egypt. It was a real pinch me career moment when I created my own blend of tea in front of the iconic landmark. It’s been a great year to celebrate the brand’s success in several markets.

What’s your favourite thing about your role?

I get to learn something new every single day. Also, because Ahmad Tea is a family business, I feel that they really care about their employees. There’s a great team spirit in the company where we all work together to solve problems. It’s also inspiring to be surrounded by people who are so passionate about tea. The care and attention they take when they create new products is phenomenal.

Tell us more about you and why you thought Ahmad Tea would be a good place to further your career?

I’m originally from Spain and have worked for several brands in the UK. I love to travel and to learn about other cultures and traditions. Ahmad Tea is an inclusive and multicultural company. We sell our teas to over 90 countries and the Head Office has a real international feel. For me, it’s a really exciting place to work.

Ahmad Tea proudly highlights partnership with Aurora Fine Brands, our esteemed distributor in Brazil since 2019, marking shared success.
