It's our pleasure to present 'Infused with Impact', our Sustainability Report for 2023
READ REPORTAhmad Tea Chairman, Rahim Afshar is delighted to share our Sustainability Report and to explain how every drop of our tea is infused with impact. Our ethos, which runs through the whole company, is that everything we do should create a brighter future for everyone involved in the tea journey from the people who tend our tea gardens, to our sustainable production and conscious distribution through our international network. The final pillar is the people who buy our teas and allow us to continue developing new projects around the world.
We are continuing to find ways to collaborate with local partners to ensure we meet the needs of their communities whilst preserving the high quality of our tea in a sustainable way.
Our sustainability goals are integrated into every part of our business. We’ve identified four main areas where we can make a real difference: reducing our impact on the environment; access to education and employment; the right to clean water and sanitation, and finally the right to health.
As we use a model of local, direct action we are able to ensure that as a company a minimum of 20% of our profits every year are given directly to organisations working locally where they have the most impact. We endeavour to ensure that the help we give will have a lasting impact and be repeatable. We also aim to ensure that the knowledge we gain can be shared with organisations, NGOs and charities so that the work can be continued and expanded on.
In this report we look at our work with
- Child In Need Institute India
- RubyCup in Kenya
- Sustainable tea production
- Making our factories as sustainable as possible
- Kew Gardens
- Bore holes in Niger
